Artist Statement
Simone Einfalt is an Austrian Media Artist and Creative Tech Producer creating work at the intersection of moving image, object and sound art, often utilising new and emerging technologies.
Moving on the border between archive and heritage, truth and fiction, she developed a unique interplay of her site-specific documentary practice with Motion Capture, 3D Scans, Augmented Reality and Game Design.
Tracing human and non-human voice, materiality and heritage in speculative virtual spaces, her latest projects include Mapping the Rural (2023 - ongoing) and The Three Waters (2025 - 2027), an interactive audio-visual saltmarsh experience in collaboration with audio designer and poet Ralph Hoyte. This is a NLHF commission for WWT Steart Marshes' Connecting Coastal Communities programme.
As a Producer, Simone has vast experience in collaborating on complex multimedia art experiences and currently supports a wide range of high-profile artists and tech teams at documenta 16, the historic large scale art exhibition in Kassel, Germany, opening in June 2027 for 100 days.
She is a Resident of the Pervasive Media Studio in Bristol and The Studio in Bath, and a member of the Material:Art:Science:Environment:Research (MASER) group at Bath Spa University.
