My practice is rooted in the human need for connection, the conversations we share, the silences we carry, and the ways in which we search for belonging. Through a deeply personal storytelling narrative, I explore how identity is shaped by place, time, memory and relationships. My work often begins with lived experience, using intimate moments as a way to open wider conversations around collective consciousness, the subconscious, and the emotional traces we leave on one another.

The form of each work is led by the narrative. I move between media depending on what the story needs, in order to be held, felt or communicated.

Within my most recent work, ‘Between Spaces’, the ‘Wendy house’ becomes an immersive structure for projection and spoken word, holding ideas around childhood, family relationships, home, memory, remembering, grief and the passing of time. By offering my own narrative, I create a space where others may bring theirs. Meaning is not fixed in the object or in my intention alone, it shifts through encounter, through the memories, associations and emotions each person carries into the work.

Influenced by phenomenology, reception theory and relational aesthetics, I am interested in how art is encountered. Through the body, senses and environment, as well as through sight. ‘Meaning’ shifts between maker, object, place and viewer, allowing my autobiographical narratives to become points of recognition, empathy and exchange.
