My work aims to explore how feelings and lived experience manifest through art and making. I use the making process itself as a cathartic outlet, the rhythmic and repetitive nature of coil building by hand becomes meditative. The forms are reminiscent of human form reflecting aspects of self. The process of making with clay becomes a conversation between myself and the material, it responds to me throughout the making process. Resulting in outcomes that are not solely created by me but equally by the material itself. I take a confessional and autobiographical approach to practice, using my thoughts feelings and experiences in the creation of my work.
