My practice explores transitional spaces and the uncertain moments that exist between one state and another. I am interested in the experience of being ‘in-between’: between places, memories and moments in time, and in how these spaces can hold both possibility and loss.

The work has developed through personal experiences of change and transitional life events. Journeys and the experience of passing between places have become a recurring point of reference within the work, reflecting both physical movement and the internal shifts that accompany change. Ideas of distance, return and the search for a sense of belonging sit quietly within this exploration.

Through an iterative process combining digital and analogue media, I manipulate and transform images into fragmented, ambiguous spaces. Materiality is central to this exploration. Paper, image, print, light, projection and layered surfaces create shifting relationships between what is revealed and what remains concealed.

Installations invite movement and create an experience of passing through rather than arriving at a fixed destination. Layers and moments of partial recognition encourage slower, contemplative looking, creating spaces in which boundaries between presence and absence, stability and fluidity, become uncertain. The work offers a space to pause, navigate and reflect on experiences of transition, belonging and change.
