Alfie Nicholls is an emerging artist based in Bath, England; originally from Maidstone, Kent, where he discovered his fascination for the arts, Nicholls found a passion for photography - which would subsequently earn him a Photography (BA) degree from University of Arts London (UAL).

In recent years, painting has overwhelmed his practice and has functioned as an observation regarding his outlook on society’s pressures on queer people – often painting familiar scenes populated by genderless figures in vibrantly lit environments.

Aside from his current discipline in painting, his approach to art stays fluid, often incorporating drawing, ceramics, bookmaking, and photography into his enquiry regarding the interpretation of the world around him - whilst maintaining a passion for not just politicising his work, but making for the sake of making.
